Brenda Mutlu, CPA is a finance professional with roots in Mexico and a heart shaped by Chicago. She graduated summa cum laude from DePaul University with dual degrees in Accounting and Finance, launching her career at EY, one of the world’s top accounting firms. Driven to make a meaningful impact on small businesses, she earned her MBA from Texas A&M University and joined Real Estate Accounting Pros.

Today, Brenda is passionate about helping real estate professionals take control of their finances, achieve their goals, and grow their businesses with confidence and clarity. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified professional, a dually licensed CPA in Illinois and Texas, a proud member of the highly selective Phi Beta Kappa honor society, as well as Beta Alpha Psi, and serves on the board of the DFW chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Originally from Ecuador and now excelling in the United States, Connie Alban-Franco began her career at IBM Ecuador while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad San Francisco de Quito. She is a seasoned insurance and financial professional licensed in Illinois, Texas, and Florida, working closely with entrepreneurs and small business owners, particularly within the real estate industry.

Through her professional journey, Connie identified a critical gap in financial literacy, tax planning, and insurance education—especially within Spanish-speaking communities. To deepen her expertise, she earned a Master of Science in Accountancy and a Graduate Certificate in Taxation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, equipping her with advanced knowledge in accounting, taxation, and strategic financial planning.

As a Commercial Insurance Guest Speaker for the Women’s Business Development Center, Connie is dedicated to educating women entrepreneurs on commercial insurance, tax awareness, and effective financial management, empowering them to build resilient and compliant businesses.

Connie is also a Best-Selling Contributing Author of Latinas in Finance, where she shares insights on financial empowerment, education, and legacy building within the Latino community.
